The Round-up gang are packaged and sealed in cases for their trip to the toy museum in Japan. Woody has realised that it was The Prospector Stinky Pete who has sabotaged his chances to escape and is resentful for being taken away.
His gang show up, led by Buzz, and in the baggage conveyor-belt section they open the cases to free Woody's gang - and then have a stand-off 'Die Hard 2 style' with The Prospector. The Prospector is defeated and stuck to the front pocket of a little girl's bag (his worst nightmare) to be taken home with the girl - "an artist" who likes to draw on her toys, and her Barbies.
Jessie is not rescued in time and she's taken onto the plane - Woody rides to her rescue with his friend Buzz. He gets on board, but the doors are shut. They manage to get out onto the wheels and down to the runway before the plane takes off.
The gang make it back to Andy's house safely where Jessie and Bullseye are accepted by the other toys - and Andy.
Buzz makes a move on Jessie, who is easily distracted. On tv the guy for Al's Toy Barn is devastated in his latest advert. Wheezy has been fixed and sings the theme song as it ends.
